Reading Up on Investing

Enjoy a little weekend reading on investing.

Portfolioist has begun a library of links to research we found to be useful on topics of interest to investors. Mostly academic studies at the moment,  we’ve mixed in some pieces from the popular press as well. Read an interview with Burton Malkiel, catch up on the debate about global diversification in today’s flat world, weigh the arguments for regularly rebalancing your portfolio, learn about the payoff of low-cost-investing, or dig into how mutual funds really work.

We’ve selected 34 pieces on five different topics:

  • Behavioral Finance
  • Active and Passive Investing
  • Expenses
  • Rebalancing
  • Diversification

You’ll find the library on a tab at the top of this page marked “Readings.

This is just a start. With your help, we can greatly improve this selection. So please do let us know what you think of the pieces up there. Were they helpful? So-so? Useless?

And please offer additional resources you’ve found helpful that might be included, or topics you’d like to see covered.

What’s the best thing you’ve read lately?
